The 2007 business year: profitable growth continues
Clearly, HUBER+SUHNER’s balanced diversification strategy is working as order intake, sales, EBIT and net income surpass 2006 figures.
In the 2007 business year, electrical and optical connectivity specialist HUBER+SUHNER exceeded its already strong 2006 result with a repeat of double-digit growth. Order intake was up 13.7%, to CHF 784 million; sales rose 11.7%, to CHF 732 million; sales for continued operations, that is, excluding non-core businesses sold in 2007, rose to an even higher 15.1%. At CHF 83.9 million, the EBIT was up 4.6%. This figure includes a one-time, CHF 5.5 million addition (previous year, CHF 8 million) , the greater part of which came from the sale of the Composites and Extrusion business units, non-core businesses both. Net income in 2007 was CHF 78.8 million (previous year, CHF 70.8 million), a new record. The HUBER+SUHNER Board of Directors intends to propose to the general meeting a dividend increase from CHF 1.10 to CHF 1.25.
